Our #FirstNightTakeover series continues with Perry O’Bree attending the gala night for Mamma Mia! The Party, the immersive theatrical and dining experience being staged at The O2 London. It was an epic evening with star after star saying hi on the ‘Blue Carpet’ including ABBA’s very own Björn Ulvaeus & Benny Andersson as well as cast members Steph Parry, Joanna Monro, Fed Zanni, Julia Imbach and AJ Bentley. Get watching!
Jac Yarrow’s performance in the title role in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the London Palladium was obviously a big hit with audiences as it was the public who crowned him the winner of the Joe Allen Best West End Debut Award at the 2019 The Stage Debut Awards. Maybe dreams really do come true.

Are you ready to squeeze into that Lycra and try on those platforms because the new immersive theatrical and dining experience Mamma Mia! The Party – at The O2 London – is getting near. Full casting details have now been announced, including at least a few performers who have appeared in the West End production (shout out to Steph Parry and Joanna Munro).

Audiences are obviously keen to don their shiny Super Trouper outfits and head to The O2 this summer as the booking period for Mamma Mia! The Party, the new immersive theatrical and dining experience, has been extended from 18 November 2019 to 16 February 2020 due to popular demand. All together now, ‘Thank you for the music, the songs I’m singing…’

Having just celebrated its 20th anniversary in the West End at the Novello Theatre, Mamma Mia! is going from strength to strength. That includes some major cast changes in the London production from 10 June 2019 and the return of Mazz Murray, to the cast – not in her previous role of Tanya but this time as Donna. At the special performance, 13 former ‘Dynamos’ joined in the finale and at the curtain call producer Judy Craymer, director Phyllida Lloyd, book writer Catherine Johnson and ABBA songwriters Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus just happened to be there too.
